Though it's been since 2001 from my last submission I have become a very adept programmer since then. Been trying to absord a huge amount of AS3 and OOP (Been meaning to move in) and it looks like its gonna take a while before I'm competent to put something out using it.

I might be forced to finish the laboured game I had no intention of releasing due to this sudden realisation. Not even sure next year would warrent anythign amazing unless I can mentally get my finger out my... Y'know.

Peh! Have a screen for your troubles...

Yo!

I'm starting to learn a bit of AS but I wasn't too sure whether or not to learn AS2 or AS3. In the end I've decided to but one of those Lynda.com books on AS3.

What I'm asking, I suppose, is are there any good books/web tutorails you can recommend?!?!?

P.S: Fish & Chips round my way is about 4.50 :(

Right!

It's a decision you must consider if you plan on getting deeper into it. I'd emplore you to but it'll take some time. Where I'm having the sluggish trouble is with custom classes and the forward thinking you need to produce effective ones. I've been scared of OOP ever since I looked at a Java app. I'm a slow learner too. xD

If you take a look around you'll see the games and interactivity is better in the long run.

The book infront of me is Learning ActionScript 3.0: A beginner's guide - by Rich Shupe with Zeven Rosser. You can download flash files from their website www.learningactionscript3DOTcom.

Hope that helps...
