Took me a couple minutes to get the ending. Pun Heaven! :)

Again, Great Work!

The music really brings this series to the pinnacle of the portal. Wish I had an ounce of audio resilience to pin such to a fantastic concept.

Brilliant work!

(PS: What was the end credit song from?)

I'm trying... Honestly.

I'm trying, honestly trying to like this game.

You have alot going for it. The style, the path and the concept seem to be solid. There are elements in this which I would say look very professional.

I can't say I like the controls nor can I say you can customize them to your liking. Since I do tend to use the numberpad if customisation is available I can't regard it as that. But it isn't terrible. It's playable... Until you actually play it.

The biggest flaw of the whole game is the physics you've invoked. It's not that they have a minsd of their own but they tend to be a thorn when playing. The sword moves can go through the enemies. Whilst in sword moves, if the enemy is behind you, there's a humungous delay before you can turn around to attack them and if you decide to attack again before the delay is over you still stay facing the opposing way. The boundaries are a nightmare to figure out where your enemy is, if their dead or glitches at times when you're dropping to the ground leaving you vulnerable in the process.

The guns don't seem to hold much weight besides it keeping your combo bar from dropping and switching weapons. even with these controls seems cumbersome.

... And although I haven't managed to get passed the 1st mission (Yes, the first) I've been trying to do it so 3 hours with nothing to show for it. I'm telling you that's how BAD the actual gameplay is for me to get anything out besides a bad taste in my mouth and I'm sure others are erked the same way too.

I hope it's just me and I'm the exception but the gameplay is beyond my understanding. Everything else gives you an incentive to find out more only to faulter at the core.

I'll keep on trying still to try and understand the ethic of gameplay you intended. But for what it's worth I have tried and have not been convinced.

Basic... Yet so well done and effective.

This is a great game. Very well built and well planned. Everything seemed to fit into place instance wise.

The art was a little off. The BG art ws nice but it didn't seem to complement the character art. I'd also thing the art could do with some variety of expressions. I also felt the game was basic. Textbook would be a better word. That factor did nerf'd the essence quite a bit. Again more variety would help.

Apon saying that I can't deny the game is great. I can't tell you how much I loved the Emo battles. The move set typecasting was genius. The tiny animations when doing tasks added nostalgia and the weight of the pacing really held it together. Wasn't easy yet wasn't strainingly difficult.

The reason Why I've given you that score is because I've played a much better Date Sim than this quite some time ago. I think it was called Ganguro girl and it might still be around here for you to see if you haven't tryed it out yet. You could've taken it further and expanded the box a bit whilst not overstepping some of societies ethics and 'etiquette' if you know what I mean ;)

I will give you some le-way in my socre to scrutinise since I've not yet played your next iteration. :P

I emplore anyone to atleast try this. A true example of simple planning with flash can take ones work some way. Entertaining and worth a Pico Day winner.

Pretty good game...

Very good. You got some fundamentals right. The music, sound and presentation was good too.

The gripes I have really hurt the game. The movement was very sluggish and felt stretched. Most important of all was the UI. It was all over the place. It needed to be simple and stick to one or the other(Meaning KB or Mouse) unless the game warrents you to.

I'd have to be harsh since I know that flash games go toe-to-toe with the games we see on consoles. But this is alot better than soem games I've come across here. Don't just aim for the minimal. Really add some polish to it with extensive trial and error... You'll be halfway thar! :)

Keep it up!

Good submission...

I get jealous when people use the metal guitar instruments because they are usually very good at it. If only I had an ounce of patience to learn to play it.

There are two trivial things though:

1 - You said there's more. This would've been a 10 if it had more.
2 - The Kraken theme. No love for the giant Cephalopod. :(

But I'm really grasping at straws here... ;)

Great work! Stevz!

Worthy work...

Took influences from VG music and you managed to make this "banging" track. I wonder what you were hearing when making this.

Truely grateful you shared this with us. Worthy of being on a SNES game, let alone a VG.

Sounds like it belongs...

I've been listening to this track and another from Death vs Monstars since it came out and haven't reviewed either... That's how good it sounds. Sounds like it belongs.

That and the lack of me playing MMZX... Top draw!
